The Calgary Stampeders are adding some more Canadian content to their corps of defensive linemen.

The Stamps plucked national d-lineman Kail Dava, 23, from the B.C. Lions practice roster on Wednesday.

The 6-ft.-3, 281-lb. Barrie, Ont., native was a fifth-round selection (44th overall) of the Lions in the 2024 Canadian Football League draft.

Dava played his college football with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, where he amassed 87 career tackles, including 24.5 for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries over 48 games with the team from 2019-23.
