Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has opened up on his Anfield future after his side’s 2-0 win over Brentford on Sunday.

The Reds entered the clash on a high after a 2-0 victory over Ipswich on the opening day.

And goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah in either half gave them another three points on a big occasion for Arne Slot, who was taking charge in his first home match since replacing Jurgen Klopp earlier this summer.

Van Dijk produced a fine performance at the back, one that will only see calls for the skipper to sign a new contract grow in volume.
