Streets of Belfast- Clifton Street: Old poorhouse leaves rest of a famed road in the shade

In January of this year, Belfast City Council signalled its intention to create a register of our historic black ceramic tile street signs so that the remaining few might be protected in some way. These iconic signs are, of course, property of the council, which was forced into action after a number of signs had vanished from walls and subsequently appeared for sale online.
