An unidentified man is sought for attempted murder in Scarborough.

Toronto Police said on Aug. 8 at 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the Kingston Rd.-Morningside Ave. area.

It’s alleged that a man and woman met the victim in an establishment, the woman lured the victim into a nearby alleyway, and an unknown male suspect then allegedly robbed the victim and stabbed him multiple times before the suspect fled the area in a black sedan with the man and woman.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The man and woman were identified and Dwight Dennis, 41, and Raven Squires, 31, both of Toronto, were arrested and charged with four offences including attempted murder.

The outstanding male suspect is described as in their mid- to late 30s, between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, and has a thin beard with moustache.

He was wearing a red hat, a white and black Calvin Klein hoodie, black pants with a red stripe on the side, and white Nike Air Force shoes with a black Nike logo.

VIOLENT PICKERING ASSAULT

Four males are sought after police say another youth was violently assaulted when he refused to give up his belongings in Pickering.

Durham Regional Police say on July 29, around 6:45 p.m., four youth-aged males confronted another male youth and demanded his shoes and clothes while at a coffee shop in the area of Kingston Rd. and Liverpool Rd.

Authorities alleged that the suspects violently assaulted the victim when he did not give them his property and fled the area before the police arrived.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-foot-11, 16-20 years old, with dreadlock-style hair and wearing a blue sweater, and black jeans.

The second suspect is described as a Black male approximately 5-foot-6, 16-20 years old and wearing a ski mask, camouflage-style sweater with a hood, and black jeans.

The third suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-foot-7, 16-20 years old, with short braided hair and wearing a black sweater, and jeans.

The fourth suspect is described as a Black male, 16-20 years old.

LOADED FIREARM SEIZED

A 32-year-old man faces numerous charges after a loaded firearm and prohibited magazine were recovered while police responded to an assault call in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police say on Aug. 11, officers attended the area of Confederation Pkwy. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. where they seized a loaded firearm, along with a quantity of suspected illegal drugs and Canadian currency believed to be connected with drug trafficking.

Firastarik Al-Saddi, of Mississauga, was charged with nine offences.

COPPER THEFT

Five males face numerous charges after a large amount of copper wire was stolen from a Clarington business.

Durham police say on Thursday around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a theft-in-progress call in the area of Lake Rd. and East Shore Dr. after receiving information that five males were loading a large amount of copper wire into the rear of a U-Haul cube van.

The suspect van fled the area prior to police arrival.

A short time later, police located the van entering Hwy. 401, and initiated a traffic stop and officers checked the rear of the van and found several hundred pounds of copper wire.

Charged with 16 collective offences is Richard Kiss, 20, of Aurora, Jozsef Babos, 37 of Ajax, Norbert Kis, 37 of Hamilton, Krisztian Kiss, 23, of Aurora, and Csaba Lakatos, 27, of Ajax.
