Tottenham star Yves Bissouma has apologised after filming himself inhaling laughing gas and posting the footage on social media.
The Sun have obtained a video from the midfielder’s private Snapchat account which shows Bissouma inhaling nitrous oxide in a chauffeur-driven limousine.
It comes just days before the start of the new Premier League season, with Tottenham due to open their campaign away at Leicester next Monday.
Bissouma has apologised for his actions, with the former Brighton star saying: “I want to apologise for these videos. This was a severe lack of judgment.

“I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously.”
Tottenham have said they will investigate Bissouma, with the north London giants also saying it will be ‘dealt with as an internal matter’.
“We are looking into the events,” the club said.

“This will be dealt with as an internal matter.”
Nitrous oxide, which is sometimes known as ‘hippy crack’, is contained in canisters – with possession of laughing gas with an intent to use recreationally made illegal in the United Kingdom last year.
Using laughing gas carries a series of health risks. Those who do risk a heart attack, strokes and brain damage.

Nitrous oxide is a controlled Class C drug. Possession for inhaling laughing gas is a criminal offence and could land users up to two years in prison.
Upon making it illegal, Crime and Policing Minister at the time Chris Philp said: “Today we are sending a clear signal to people, especially young people, that not only is abuse of nitrous oxide dangerous to their health, but it is also illegal and those caught possessing it will face consequences.
“For too long the use of this drug in public spaces has contributed to anti-social behaviour which is a blight on communities.
“We will not accept it. This law gives the police the powers they need to take a zero-tolerance approach to this crime.”

Bissouma is about to enter his third season with Tottenham.
He has struggled for fitness at times, with the Frenchman limited to just 56 appearances so far.
Tottenham played their last pre-season match on Saturday, with Spurs losing 3-2 to Bayern Munich.
