It is the last day of the Olympics, so you know what that means: Closing Ceremony flag-bearer time. The Canadian Olympic Committee announced on Sunday that the duties would go to swimmer Summer McIntosh and hammer thrower Ethan Katzberg.

It was clear McIntosh stood the best shot of being named to the Closing Ceremony — she won four medals in Paris, which included three gold medals. Katzberg won Canada’s first-ever gold medal in the hammer last week. His feat was followed by fellow Canadian Camryn Rogers only a few days later, who also won gold on the women’s side in the same event.

“These two athletes represent exactly what Team Canada has been about in Paris: its will, its dedication and its pursuit of excellence at the highest level. I am incredibly proud of Summer and Ethan who fully deserve to carry our flag into the Closing Ceremony,” chef de mission Bruny Surin said in a statement.
