Instead of focusing on defending their Olympic title, Canada’s women’s soccer team became embroiled in scandal at the Paris Games.

Before the opening ceremonies even took place, accusations were levied that people involved with the women’s team had been using a drone to spy on New Zealand’s practice. This has sent ripples through Canada Soccer and the sport’s international governing body.
