A pedestrian has died in Hamilton after being hit by a motorcycle.

Hamilton Police say on Sunday at about 2:40 p.m. they were called to a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Mountain Brow Blvd. east of Limeridge Rd.

Police say the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling eastbound around the bend from Limeridge Rd. behind another vehicle.

As the motorcycle came out of the curve, the pedestrian who was crossing Mountain Brow Blvd. ran from the north shoulder to the south shoulder between the vehicle and in front of the motorcycle.

The 67-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital but later died.

Speed was not a factor, police said in a statement Monday.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-546-4753 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
