A sexual assault on a subway train has triggered a search for a suspect who fled from the transit system, according to Toronto Police.

The attacker allegedly boarded a subway car at Donlands station on May 27 at 5:30 p.m. and sat beside the victim, alleged police.

Following the assault, the suspect and the victim exited the train at the same stop. The suspect fled.

Police believe there may be more victims.

The suspect is described as male, with a medium build, short black hair, and a beard. Police have released his image.

Victim wounded in east-end shooting

Three people were arrested after a victim was shot Saturday night in the east end.

Toronto Police officers who responded to the Danforth-Main Sts. area at around 10:30 p.m. located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police did not immediately release information about any charges.

Two men stabbed

One man was rushed to a hospital following a double stabbing by the city’s waterfront on Saturday night.

Toronto Police said one of the men stabbed at 7:40 p.m. in the New Brunswick Way-Lake Shore Blvd. area was transported to hospital by emergency run.

Two men were taken into custody. Police did not immediately release any information about charges.

Man arrested in stolen vehicle investigation

A man found in a stolen car allegedly assaulted an officer and tried to flee, according to Toronto Police.

Police were on patrol around 9 a.m. on Friday when they allegedly located a sleeping suspect in a stolen vehicle in the Pottery-Todmorden Mills Rds. area.

When police tried to engage the man, he tried to flee and assaulted an officer, according to the allegations.

Jordan Lowe, 30, of Toronto, faces charges, including failing to stop for police, assault, resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, dangerous operation and possessing property or a thing obtained by crime, exceeding $5,000.
