Hamilton Police have released images of a suspect and vehicle following an armed robbery at a commercial establishment last week.

Police say, on July 26 just after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a robbery in the area of Rymal Rd. E. and Upper Centennial Pkwy.

The suspect fled before officers arrived in what’s believed to have been a white compact SUV, cops say.

The investigation revealed that a single suspect entered the business and demanded cash from the staff while brandishing a handgun.

The suspect is described as male wearing a black face covering, dark zip-up hoodie, black pants with white marks and black shoes with white soles.

Police say investigators are seeking the community’s assistance to identify the suspect.

MAN, 65, ACCUSED OF SEX ASSAULT IN BRAMPTON

Police in Peel Region have charged a 65-year-old Brampton man with sexual assault.

Cops say, in late July, an adult female participated in a CPR course in the area of Kennedy Rd. and Clarence St. and was allegedly sexually assaulted by the male instructor.

Gurdev Singh is facing one count of sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are appealing for them or anyone with information to come forward.

JEWELRY STORE HEIST IN PICKERING

Police are searching for two male suspects after a jewelry store was robbed in Pickering this week.

Durham Regional Police say, on Thursday around 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in progress at Garo Jewellers on Liverpool Rd.

Cops say two males entered the store and made threats toward the owner while brandishing a knife. They managed to steal a large amount of jewelry before fleeing the area in a grey Honda CRV.

The first suspect is described as a brown male, 20 to 30 years old and approximately 6 feet tall.

The second suspect is described as a Black male, 20 to 25 years old and approximately 6 feet tall as well.

GUN SEIZED DURING TRAFFIC STOP

A 22-year-old Brampton man is facing firearms charges following a traffic stop in Pickering early Friday morning.

Durham Regional Police say, shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers found a loaded firearm and prohibited ammunition in a vehicle in the area of Brock and Dillingham Rds.

Police say a check of the motorist’s documents confirmed that he was a suspended driver. Officers then searched the vehicle before taking it to the impound lot.

Makaile Richards is charged with four firearms offences, driving while under suspension and two counts of fail to comply with release order.

MAN ARRESTED FOR SCARBOROUGH SEX ASSAULT

A 32-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting three young girls at a Scarborough park last month.

Toronto Police say, on July 18 at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded to a call for an indecent exposure at Wexford Park near Pharmacy Ave. and Elm Bank Rd.

It is alleged that a woman was at the park’s playground with her two young daughters when she noticed a male loitering nearby.

Police say the suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her arm. The woman then gathered her children and left the park. The suspect followed the victim for a short while before walking away.

It is further alleged that three young girls, between 10 to 15 years of age, were walking through the park when the suspect approached them and engaged the girls in conversation.

Cops say the suspect followed the girls through the wooded area and into the residential area adjacent to the park where he exposed himself to the girls. The suspect then sexually assaulted all three girls.

A concerned citizen observed the accused with the girls and approached them, causing the suspect to flee, cops say. The accused was located a short time later by police and placed under arrest.

Alaa Hejazi, of Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, commit an indecent act in a public place, and breach of probation order.

Investigators believe there may be more victims.

MAN SUSPECTED OF HATE-MOTIVATED ASSAULT IN ETOBICOKE

A man has been charged and another is being sought for a suspected hate-motivated assault in Etobicoke that occurred at the beginning of the year.

Toronto Police say, on Jan. 28, they received a call for an assault in the Kipling and Evans Aves. area.

It is reported that two men and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation, the two men made anti-Black slurs before assaulting the victim, cops allege.

The suspects then fled the scene in a red vehicle.

Cops say, on May 20, Amritpal Singh Buttar, 23, of Brampton turned himself into police. He was charged with intimidation and assault.

Investigators released an image of the second suspect.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 25 years old, 5-foot-6 with a thin build and black beard. He was wearing black clothes, white running shoes and a black hat.

SUSPECT WANTED FOR ASSAULT NEAR BMO FIELD

Toronto Police say they need the public’s help to identify a man wanted for an alleged assault last month near BMO Field.

Police say, on July 15, they received a call for an assault in the Nova Scotia Ave. and Manitoba Dr. area.

It is reported that the suspect stopped his vehicle and started a conversation with the victim.

Cops allege the suspect then exited his vehicle and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene in a black 4-door vehicle.

Investigators released an image of the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect is described as a male, brown skin with a light complexion, short black hair, facial hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
