The 24-year-old went on to establish himself as a regular under Mauricio Pochettino last term.

However, Pochettino’s departure raised questions over Gallagher’s future and the arrival of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leaves him fighting for a spot in the team once again.

Chelsea were initially accepted a £57million bid from Aston Villa before the profit and sustainability deadline, but Gallagher rejected the offer.

The next twist in the saga saw Chelsea incredibly offer Gallagher a fresh new contract extension, but that was also turned down.

It was reported on Thursday that Chelsea had accepted a bid worth £33million from Atletico following Gallagher’s rejection of a contract extension.

The midfielder is still said to be uncertain on what his final decision will be, but it appears as though Chelsea are ready to push him out the door.

According to The Sun, Gallagher has been told to stay away from Cobham training ground when he returns from his summer break.

It’s claimed that the midfielder was originally set for crunch talks with Chelsea officials on Friday, but he’s now been ‘banished’ from the training ground.
