A teenage boy has been injured in a hit and run collision in Belfast.

Police are appealing for information about the incident which happened on Ormeau Road on Sunday July, 21.

The cyclist was with friends when he was struck from behind by a dark blue or black coloured Ford car at around 8pm.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The boy was knocked to the ground however the driver failed to stop.

“The victim suffered minor injuries following the fall.

“Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnesses the collision or to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries to get in touch on 101 quoting reference 878 of 23/07/24.”
