The BBC have been blasted by angry fans online after showing Andy Murray’s doubles win on iPlayer last night, rather than any of their main channels.
The 37-year-old is taking part in his last tournament as a tennis player, having confirmed he’d be retiring before the Olympics commenced.
Murray and Dan Evans made it two wins from two in the doubles in Paris, with the pair beating Belgian pair Joran Vliegen and Sander Gillé.
Yet the BBC have sparked a backlash by choosing to show the match on iPlayer, with fans enraged at Murray’s treatment.

“The BBC Olympics coverage is a disgrace. A few live things and endless summaries of what has happened. Murray is a British icon and they have it on iPlayer only,” were the words of one user.
“Andy Murray’s probable last ever match. And BBC1 are showing women’s rugby 7s. Sir Andy-possibly Britain’s best ever sportsman- relegated to BBC iPlayer. Typical BBC. USELESS,” said a second.
Another opined: “Seriously. Watching what could’ve been Andy Murray’s last professional match & in the final set tie break you decide to switch channels?? But on the iPlayer through the ‘live’ section of the tennis match. Had to go wading through all the #Olympic streams to get it.”
A fourth said: “Murray on iPlayer AGAIN!! WHY? Not everyone can access this.”

A fifth raged: “Why the absolute f*** is Murray/Evans not on BBC One… wasting the first set trying to log into iPlayer…”
A sixth said: “Great game but the BBC didn’t show it !! This could have been Andy Murray’s last competitive game !! Shame on you !!!”
And a seventh said: “I’ll never understand sport. Andy Murray is the most successful British tennis player of our lifetimes, right? And this is probably his last game, yet stadium is empty, and BBC didn’t even bother to put it on broadcast TV.”
It is currently unknown who Murray and Evans will face next.
But the pair are daring to dream of going all the way, with Murray chasing a third Olympics gold medal of his career.
After the win, the 37-year-old was emotional.
When asked about his tears on the court, Murray said: “Obviously it’s unbelievably emotional.
“You’re obviously unbelievably happy and then, I don’t know why it happens, it’s like happy tears. I was really emotional at the end of the match.

“Obviously extremely happy, excited that we managed to get through and another amazing finish so it takes a lot out of you that sort of stuff.
“I’m glad we get a day off tomorrow.”
Murray added: “We were very lucky in the first match and today we weren’t.
“The margins are so fine, we need to perform at a really high level in a couple of days’ time to go through.

“And you build confidence by winning matches like that and I think your opponents see that, that you’re coming back when you’re behind and that builds belief.
“But you can’t have that mentality of ‘Oh this is just going to happen now.’ We need to be switched on for the next one and let’s see what happens in a couple of days.”
