This is the moment heavily armed officers arrested a man at an apartment block in the Hickory Avenue area of Newtownards this afternoon.
A police spokesperson said, “Police received a report of criminal damage caused to premises in the Frances Street area of Newtownards shortly after 2.20pm today.
“A short time later, at approximately 3.05pm, police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance at a property in the Hickory Avenue area of the town.
“A man aged in his 30s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and attempted criminal damage, and remains in police custody at this time, assisting with enquiries.”
