Northern Ireland’s biggest networking and learning event for voluntary and community sector leaders will take place in September.

La Mon Hotel and Country Club outside Comber is hosting the CO3 Leadership Summit on September 26, with more than 250 leaders from the sector due to attend.

Josh Littlejohn, a social entrepreneur and campaigner, will return to speak at the event, following the publication of his book Paying it Forward: How to be a Social Entrepreneur.

Mr Littlejohn is expected to inspire the audience with practical lessons on leadership and social entrepreneurship, building on his extensive work in supporting homeless and vulnerable communities.

Valerie McConville, chief executive of CO3, said: “Post-election, the third sector in Northern Ireland is in a new place, one marked by challenge and opportunity.

“The CO3 Leadership Summit will explore the key challenges that face leaders right now and provide a unique opportunity to discuss shared challenges, explore new opportunities and make connections.

“The event will also look at what makes an effective public policy campaigns, and hear from influential thought leaders on the future of funding in Northern Ireland.

“We are delighted to have gathered such an impactful and thought provoking set of speakers and we are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding event.”

Other speakers will include Roisin Wood, chief executive of Community Foundation NI, Colin Catney, chief operating officer of National Museums NI and Jane Trenaman, founder of the Fundraising Leadership Assembly.
