A flying wheel wreaked havoc on Highway 400 in Innisfil, although it could have been much worse, according to a OPP Highway Safety Division posting on Thursday morning.
The Aurora OPP says the wheel struck four vehicles at Highway 88, causing various degrees of damage.
One of the photos shared by police shows a wheel nut embedded in a windshield.
There were no injuries.
“Please remember to check your wheel nuts regularly and have them re-torqued,” said the OPP in their social media posting.
“In this case the driver had been to his garage recently and had only driven for a short distance before the tire came off.”
