People who go to Canada’s Wonderland and ride some of the more extreme rides tend to know what they’re getting into.
But when the ride gets stuck and you and your fellow passengers are trapped and left swaying while park staff try to figure out a way to safely disembark riders, that’s when things can get out of hand.
One thrill-seeker recently went berserk after the Riptide was reportedly stuck, leaving himself and others on the water ride.
The man can be seen screaming at ride employees as the female rider to his left is crying while the man to his right laughs as his rant appears to get more hysterical.
The clip then cuts to him and others finally off the ride as security staff try to calm the man down after he hurled bottles over the gates around the shut-down ride repeatedly calling the situation “bulls***.”
People can be heard and seen laughing at the man, in the white t-shirt, plaid pajama pants, black-and-white bandana and no shoes as he continued to complain to anyone who would listen.
One security guard could be heard saying he “understands” why the man is so upset and that appears to calm him down enough for him to say one final, “So f***ed up, man” before storming off.
Some people on social media sympathized with the stuck rider.
“Wonderland needs to close down and undergo a complete inspection,” one person commented. “Too many incidents occurring.”
A second person added: “40 mins stuck on this ride would drive any person to the brink of insanity.”
However, others called the man a “big baby” and shouldn’t be blaming the young employees who work at the park.
“Yeah cause let’s blame a summer student that is probably 16 years old and throw s*** at them and threaten them because they are the ones that engineered the ride,” one user wrote sarcastically.
“This guy needs to calm the F down and if he is that mad take it out on management. Not the way you react in public buddy.”
Another wrote: “He has the right to be upset but blaming the operator who has no control and make a minimum wage is simply ignorant.”
Last month, Riptide was one of three rides that got stuck in one weekend.

Canada’s Wonderland spokesperson Grace Peacock confirmed to the Toronto Sun that “the Riptide attraction stopped with guests onboard” on July 18 at 3:30 p.m.
“The park’s operations and maintenance team responded quickly and guests were unloaded safely by 4:10 p.m,” she added. “No injuries were reported, and the ride is open and operating normally.
As for the guest and whether he was escorted from the park, she could not comment.
