York Regional Police are seeking witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Newmarket on Thursday.
Police say they responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in the area of Leslie and Gorham Streets around 5:40 p.m.
A 31-year-old man riding the motorcycle was taken to hospital where he died, while the SUV driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking witnesses who haven’t spoken with authorities or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision to reach out their Major Collision Investigation Unit by calling 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704.
