Northern Ireland women have been drawn against Croatia in the first round of Euro 2025 play-offs after Friday’s draw in Nyon.

Tanya Oxtoby’s side secured their place in the play-offs having come second behind Portugal in their qualifying group.

Northern Ireland will be away from home first in the two-legged affair.

They will travel to Croatia for the match on October 23, before the return leg is played the following week.

Should Northern Ireland defeat Croatia over the two legs, they will meet either Albania or Norway for the right to go to the Euro finals.

Scotland will face Hungary in their play-off, while Wales will take on Slovakia.

The Welsh could face the Republic of Ireland, who take on Georgia, in the second round of play-offs if both progress.

Scotland will meet Montenegro or Finland should they defeat Hungary.

Round two of the play-offs will be played on November 27 and December 3.

Seven places are still to be decided at next year’s finals in Switzerland, with holders England, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands and Spain having already qualified as winners or runners-up of their League A qualifying sections. Switzerland qualify as hosts.
