Joe Biden said his vice-president, Kamala Harris, could one day be president of the United States.

Biden, who has maintained he is all in on being the Democratic Party’s nominee for November’s presidential election despite growing calls to step aside, crowed about his accomplishments since being elected four years ago during a speech to the NAACP on Tuesday.

“I nominated the first Black Secretary of Defense in American history to do one hell of a job,” Biden told hundreds of supporters in Las Vegas, referring to retired general Lloyd Austin.

“I nominated the first Black woman to the United States Supreme Court,” he added, speaking of Ketanji Brown Jackson, associate justice of the country’s highest court.

Biden told the attendees his government would look like America and that he was proud of appointing a diverse administration.

“Folks, because of you, I’m president and Kamala Harris is vice-president,” Biden said. “She’s not only a great vice-president, she could be president of the United States.”

The 81-year-old Biden is fending off demands from some Democrats and celebrities to drop out of the race following his disastrous debate performance against Republican nominee Donald Trump last month.

However, Saturday’s assassination attempt of political rival Trump has stemmed the pressure to calls it quits, with Biden likely hoping to run out the clock for another candidate to be named.

Biden also responded to Trump’s assertion that migrants are stealing Black jobs in the country.

“I love this phrase, ‘Black jobs’ – tells us a lot about the man and about his character,” Biden said of Trump.

“Folks, I know what a Black job is,” Biden said. “It’s the Vice-President of the United States. I know what a Black job is: the first Black president in American history, Barack Obama.”
