The opening date for the brand new TK Maxx store at Imperial Retail Park in the Hartcliffe/Bishopsworth area, has been unveiled. According to a new sign in the window of the store, shoppers will be able to begin browsing for bargains here from 10am on Thursday this week (March 20).

BristolLive reported just last week that the massive high street chain has signage covering one of the shopping units at the retail park, which formerly housed a branch of Homesense – a sister company to TK Maxx, also owned by TJX International. More information has been added to the TK Maxx store locator, found on its website, since that time.

It still lists the store as ‘coming soon’, but now also has the official opening date of March 20 listed, has started to fill in opening times and its status now reads as being ‘closed’. The store is located at Unit 9, between other big high street retailers Bensons For Beds and Next.

The official store locator lists 12 TK Maxx stores open or ‘coming soon’ when you search for ‘Bristol’ at time of writing (March 12). These include the Broadmead, Brislington, Cribbs Causeway, Yate, and Weston-super-Mare sites, in addition to stores further afield in Bath, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Newport, and Cwmbran.

According to latest figures as of January 3, 2025, there are around 359 TK Maxx stores in the UK – almost 300 of these are found in England. Imperial Retail Park is situated on Wills Way, and is home to the likes of Argos Extra, B&M, B&Q, Boots, Costa, Hobbycraft, M&S Simply Food, and more.
