Savers urged to check rates as top accounts offer up to 7.5 per cent.

Comparing the latest deals against existing savings pots remains essential for those looking to maximise their returns.

With rates fluctuating, some savers could be missing out on significantly better deals.

Analysts at Moneyfactscompare have compiled a list of the best savings accounts available in the UK for the week beginning March 17, highlighting top rates reaching as high as 7.5 per cent.

Rachel Springall, Finance Expert at Moneyfactscompare.co.uk said: “Cash ISA season has been in full swing with several providers increasing fixed rates over the past week.

“However, outside of ISAs, some providers cut their variable rates as they caught up to the Bank of England base rate cut in February.

“Comparing the latest deals against existing pots remains essential and savers would be wise to keep abreast of any rate moves and switch if they are getting a raw deal.”

As the base rate remains at 4.5 per cent, Britons are urged to get the highest interest possible for their savings
