Martin Brundle believes Lando Norris produced one of the greatest drives in F1 history as the McLaren star won the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday morning.
Having pushed Max Verstappen last term, all eyes were on the 25-year-old as the first race of the campaign got underway.
And Norris didn’t disappoint, with the Briton shining in rain-soaked conditions to finish ahead of both Verstappen and George Russell in the curtain-raiser.
The weather caused chaos Down Under, with Oscar Piastri one driver unfortunate enough to be impacted.

Brundle, commentating for Sky Sports, believes Norris deserves all the acclaim after producing what he perceives to be ‘one of the all-time great F1 drives’.
“That is one of the all-time great F1 drives from Lando Norris in the most challenging conditions, the restarts and so much pressure,” he said.
Norris, understandably, was pleased with his display.
“Ooof, little bit of pressure! Well done boys, beautifully handled,” he exclaimed on the team radio.

“Lando had a little moment on entry of Turn 6, so he lost a lot of momentum there, so that’s what I got close and then I got the DRS.
“I got close but it’s very hard to pass around here, but it was fun. Those last laps, pushing, at least when you’re fighting for the win.
“I’m just very happy to bring it home, score good points, and this is a decent starting point for us.”
Russell, who finished third, said he was ‘super happy’ after managing to clinch a spot on the podium.
