Queen’s University are out to finish the EYHL2 group stage with maximum points as they take on Corinthians on Saturday afternoon.

The promotion-pushing Students have won all five of their group games to date and sit top of Pool B.

Simon Bell’s side remain the only team in the competition with a faultless record whilst only conceding one goal in the process.

In February’s reverse fixture, a Megan Cochrane strike proved the difference between the sides as Queen’s recorded a winning start to the competition.

Since then, the Dublin side have been faultless, winning all four of their following games by beating Ashton, Lurgan and University of Galway twice.

Their results leave them second in the group and looking to snatch top spot away from Saturday’s opponents, with both sides already guaranteed a place in the knock-out stages.

Elsewhere in the competition, Portadown could also finish top of their group as they face Cork Harlequins at Edenvilla.

The Ulster side are top of the group, two points ahead Monkstown ahead of the final set of fixtures.

To date, the youthful Portadown side have won four of their five group games and scored 22 goals in the process.

Last time out, they recorded a 5-0 win over Muckross, whilst they have already beaten Saturday’s opponents in the competition in 2024/25.

The sides met at the beginning of February when Portadown came out on top of a seven-goal thriller, winning 5-2 with goals from Emily Adamson (2) and Lara Wilson (3).

A similar result here would guarantee their spot as group winners and earn them a more favourable draw in the knock-outs.

In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League, Armagh take on Ballymoney in a massive game at the bottom end of the division.

With just two games remaining in the 2024/25 season, the tie is a must-win for Ballymoney if they are to boost their chances of avoiding the Relegation Play-Off.

Three points behind Armagh and having played a game more, a defeat would condemn the side to a ninth-placed finish.

The last time the sides met, they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, but if Ballymoney are to get a result, they will be relying on top scorer Koren Ferguson, who has netted two goals in her previous three games.

As for Armagh, the game provides an opportunity for the side to win back-to-back games for the first time in the 2024/25 season, with goals from Scarlett Taylor and Lydia Thompson sealing a 2-0 win over Banbridge in their previous outing.
