His final journey was a smooth and as glamorous as many he’d taken before – and when the funeral cortege made that journey from Brian Price’s home to the crematorium, he once again turned heads.
Known throughout Bristol as perhaps the city’s biggest Elvis Presley fan, this Teddy Boy travelled in style in a gold Cadillac hearse, in a coffin adorned with a photo of The King himself.
The 67-year-old had bravely battled cancer, but was well aware of how his funeral would bring together the wide network of friends and family – and an eye-popping convoy of classic American cars.

Brian was well known on the Hot Rod scene, and often attended the regular gatherings of people in the Greater Bristol area who loved the Americana, 50s and 60s cars, music and image.
And they turned out in numbers, following the gold Caddy hearse from Brian’s home in the north of Bristol to Westerleigh Crematorium in South Gloucestershire.

Daughter-in-law Sarah Price said: “He was a huge Elvis fan and into his American cars and a member of American car shows. He was loved by everyone and knew many people.”
