The Chase fans said “I’ve had enough” after a shock exit minutes into Friday’s (March 14) show.
Today’s episode of the hit ITV gameshow saw Pete, Ellie, Zainudeen and Yvonne take on The Dark Destroyer, aka Shaun Wallace, in the hopes of winning a hefty cash prize.
46-year-old clinical hypnotherapist Pete was up first, and earned a solid £3,000 in his cash builder. Despite his team urging him to stick with the money he earned, Pete decided to be brave and go for the high offer of £25,000.
However, his decision soon backfired when he was caught after just two questions.
Fans were left frustrated with the quick elimination, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share their disappointment.
“First contestant out and not even 10 minutes into the programme,” one person said, with another adding: “That was a calamity.”
“I usually love when people go high, but on this occasion that choice was a huge waste of time,” a third said, with another sharing: “What on earth has happened to The Chase? I have had enough!”
