• Mojito! is back on the Wrangler, new on the Gladiator
  • It is a $695 paint option
  • Jeep has a history of delightfully outrageous paint choices

If there’s one thing about brands living under the Stellantis roof, it’s they are never afraid to rock up with outrageous paint selections. For the 2025 model year, Jeep is bringing back a tremendously retina-searing option last shown on the Wrangler seven years ago.

Wearing the Mojito! name, whose official inclusion of an exclamation point gives fits to this author’s spellcheck program, the vibrant colour option will be offered on both the Wrangler and Gladiator through the 2025 model year. It appeared on the former way back in 2018 but has never before been slathered on a Gladiator from the factory.

This selection joins another green shade which was new for 2025. Simply called ’41, which also freaks out the spellchecker, that choice is a military olive drab-inspired hue. Seem this is a year in which it is easy to be green at Jeep. The brand has thrust other limited-edition and fantastically named colours on the buying public in past years, such as Punk’n Metallic orange and Tuscadero pink. Those of us a certain age will get the Happy Days reference of that last example.

Wrangler and Gladiator comprise a large chunk of Jeep sales in this country. Of the 40,712 units shuffled off dealer lots in the 2024 calendar year, a full 35 percent of them were Wranglers. That’s by far the brand’s largest seller, nearly double the Compass and Grand Cherokee which both sold around 8,000 units each. Meanwhile, the Gladiator found 2,368 takers last year. Struggles at the brand meant both the Gladiator and Wrangler were off by 26 percent in terms of total sales compared to the same time frame one year prior. Jeep itself was off by 20 percent in Canada.

As with most special edition colours, Mojito! is a $695 checkbox on the options sheet of these rigs. It is available for order across all trims of these 4x4s at Jeep dealers right now.
