Watch as political commentator Emma Trimble delivers her brutal verdict on Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show.

It comes a day after the duchess announced a new podcast that will be released next month, entitled ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’.

The announcement comes just a week after her Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, was released to much acclaim.

It recorded impressive viewing figures, with the streaming giant saying it amassed 2.6 million views and 12.6 million hours watched since its debut last Tuesday.

But Trimble was less than impressed, and she made that clear in a withering putdown on GB News.

“I have watched three episodes of it. I forced my way through it, for my sins”, she said.

“After Ash Wednesday, I thought ‘this is my way of doing my repentance’. It is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen.

“It’s interesting because… well, it’s not interesting, because nothing about her is interesting.

“I don’t want to be genuinely horrible, but she is completely talentless.”

Speaking about the new podcast, she said: “The one she is doing now is the model. She is interviewing female founders, kind of like a rip-off of Diary of a CEO.

“All of these shows, this, the Netflix series, because there’s no interest, the viewing figures are terrible and they are hyped as Meghan’s folly.

“There’s something about her that reminds me of those communist ghost towns in North Korea.”

Fellow political commentator Andy Williams waded in to brand her “irritating”, adding: “I find her incredibly dull. She reminds me of a contestant on the X Factor once and Simon Cowell said ‘that reminded me of eating water’.

“The other extraordinary thing is the sheer amount of cash being thrown their way.”

Speaking out about her new podcast, the duchess wrote: “I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: ‘Confessions of a Female Founder,’ my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!”

She added: “I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses.

“They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As ever.

“It has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring…and fun! (Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?)”

Despite the criticism, Meghan fans have greeted the announcement with excitement.

One fan wrote: “Lemonada continues to make amazing boss moves.”

Another added: “This is so exciting! Meghan and a new podcast! definitely will be tuning in.”
