Lorraine Kelly isn’t often lost for words, however on Tuesday’s programme March 12, she was left agasp during an interview with David Walliams and Matt Lucas.
David and Matt famously teamed up on the popular sketch show Little Britain before both going their separate ways in the television industry.
Funnyman Matt struck up a hosting role on The Great British Bake Off and Come Fly With Me, while David became a judge on Simon Cowell’s show Britain’s Got Talent, before he stepped down from his role.
With many industry highs and lows, the pair were now joining forces once more to unleash a new podcast Making A Scene, which caught the attention of the Scottish host.
The hilarious two-some were giving Lorraine quite the run for her presenting money, interrupting her in their usual banterous fashion.

They even took part in a game with Lorraine to determine how well they knew one another but stumbled at the first hurdle, failing to know each others “favourite song” choice.
“This is rubbish,” Lorraine blasted. Then turning to David, she took aim as he wasn’t taking it seriously, the host fumed: “This is supposed to be an ITV game show and you’re not playing by the rules.”

Despite the seemingly stern on-air warning, the good humour between the trio continued, with Matt Lucas even inviting the new grandmother to make a guest appearance on their podcast.
As they were wrapping up the discussion with pleasantries, Matt asked Lorraine: “Please come on our podcast?” Appearing to be flattered by their genuine offer, Lorraine said with delight in her voice: “I would love to come on your podcast, I really would actually.”

Backtracking slightly, she then quizzed: “I don’t know, are you allowed to transmit anything so we wouldn’t get taken off for anything like that?”
“No, I think you can go rogue,” stated Matt as David chirped in with a response that left her totally astonished. He jested: “I think we’ve got past that. We’ve all been cancelled at some point. They can’t do it again.”
Lorraine was evidently lost for words as she shrieked in her chair before attempting to move on, commenting: “Making a scene with Matt Lucas and David Walliams podcast is out now.”
Back in November 2022, David Walliams confirmed he was stepping down from his role as a BGT judge after a transcript of comments he’d made during a break were made public.
In a statement issued before his exit, he said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
“These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”
In September of the following year, it was confirmed that David had launched a legal case against the BGT production company, seeking damages for the leak.
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
