A brand new TK Maxx store looks set to be opening its doors in Hartcliffe in the coming weeks. The massive high street chain currently has signage covering the front of one of the shopping units at Imperial Retail Park in the area.

The former Homesense unit displays the company’s signature red branding, with signage stating “big brand bargains [are] landing here!” The signage goes on to say: “Coming soon”. Homesense and TK Maxx are both owned by TJX International.

The TK Maxx store locator, found on its website, lists the new store as ‘TK Maxx Bristol – Imperial’, with a message saying: “Store opening soon”. The store is located at Unit 9, between other big high street retailers Bensons For Beds and Next. An opening date is not shown, however reports suggest it could open as early as next week (March 20).

The official store locator lists 12 TK Maxx stores open or ‘coming soon’ when you search for ‘Bristol’ at time of writing (March 12). These include the Broadmead, Brislington, Cribbs Causeway, Yate, and Weston-super-Mare sites, in addition to stores further afield in Bath, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Newport, and Cwmbran.

According to latest figures as of January 3, 2025, there are around 359 TK Maxx stores in the UK – almost 300 of these are found in England. Imperial Retail Park is situated on Wills Way in Hartcliffe, and is home to the likes of Argos Extra, B&M, B&Q, Boots, Costa, Hobbycraft, M&S Simply Food, and more.
