Meghan Markle has made a glaring error as Netflix data has revealed a missed opportunity for the US-based royal.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, released her first solo Netflix project, With Love, Meghan, on March 4, alongside the royal much-anticipated lifestyle brand.

After initially launching the social media account under the name ‘American Riviera Orchard’, the duchess announced the re-branded venture ‘As Ever’ on February 18.

Netflix’s own data showed that ‘With Love, Meghan’ has been more successful in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia than in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The data showed that despite receiving negative reviews from UK publications, the eight-part cookery show did marginally better in the UK than is the US, where the Sussexes currently reside.

In the daily top 10 Netflix chart, ‘With Love, Meghan’ varied from 4th to 10th in the UK, while the project only reached 5th in the US.

This data shows a missed opportunity for the Duchess of Sussex as it was announced her lifestyle brand would only be dropping in the US.

The series failed to hit the top spot on the streaming service in any country

Netflix said: “Launching in spring 2025 on AsEver.com, the collection will be available for purchase nationwide, in all 50 states.”

Meghan’s products will go on sale in stores called “Netflix House” in malls in Dallas and Philadelphia, bringing consumers merchandise linked to Netflix shows.

According to data gathered by Samba TV, 526,000 households watched the show in the first five days it was available on Netflix since its release on March 4.

The Sussexes most successful project with the streaming giant, Harry & Meghan, attracted approximately four times more viewers, with 2.1 million households tuning in in approximately the same number of days.

A Netflix insider told the Mail: “It’s not a runaway success.”

The insider, with links to the commercial arm of the streaming giant told the publication that the reviews have “worried” the bosses.

The duchess and Netflix announced that ‘With Love, Meghan will return for a second series later this year.

The insider added: “I know they filmed the shows back-to-back so in theory there is no second season it’s like with lots of Netflix shows it is already in the bag at the same time as the first one.”
