Boxer Barry McGuigan is set to be the special guest speaker at a cyber security event in Belfast next month.

The I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star is set to hold a talk at the Integrity360’s Security First conference on Wednesday, April 2 at the ICC Belfast.

According to the agenda, the legendary boxer and inspirational speaker “will bring a fresh perspective to the world of security, resilience, and unpredictability.”

Based in Dublin and London, Integrity360 offers “comprehensive range of professional, support and managed cyber security services that identify and assess, protect and prevent, detect and analyse and respond to and recover from cyber threats.” The company also offers “round-the-clock vigilance” provided by Integrity360’s four SOCs located in Ireland, Sweden, Italy and Bulgaria, in the hope “businesses can rest assured that their IT environment is safe and secure with their tailored service to environment and needs without separate features or paid upgrades.”

The conference will include panels and talks on managing artificial intelligence and combating deepfake technology.

Integrity360’s CTO Richard Ford and Director of Product Management Brian Martin will try to solve the human and cyber equation, while an expert panel featuring cyberpsychologist Dr Nicola Fox Hamilton will explore why humans remain both the strongest defence and the weakest link in cyber security. Meanwhile, attendees will hear about combatting deepfakes and AI ‘trickery’, and will enter a new era of autonomous cyber security with a panel discussion on AI-driven solutions led by Nick Brownrigg, Director of Solutions Architecture at Integrity360.

McGuigan, who won praise from viewers for opening about his grief following the death of his daughter Danika in 2019, will be joined on a panel by Integrity360’s Business Development Director Loman McCaffrey.

Actress Danika ‘Nika’ McGuigan suffered with leukaemia as a child, died at just 33 after a short battle with cancer.

McGuigan, who was born in Clones, Monaghan, won the world featherweight title against Eusebio Pedroza in 1985, the same year he won BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year.
