The Canadiens announced Monday morning that they have sent forward Owen Beck down to the AHL’s Laval Rocket and brought up forward Joshua Roy on an emergency recall.

Beck had one assist in 12 games with the Canadiens this season and 13-19-32 totals in 47 games with the Rocket. Roy has 20-15-35 totals in 46 games with the Rocket and had no points in the four games he played with the Canadiens.

The Canadiens will be back in action Tuesday in Vancouver against the Canucks (10 p.m., TSN2, RDS). The Canadiens are coming off a 1-0 loss to the Flames Saturday night in Calgary and with a 30-27-6 record are three points out of a wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Canadiens will wrap up their four-game road trip Wednesday in Seattle against the Kraken (10:30 p.m., TSN2, RDS).

The Rocket (37-15-2) have the best record in the AHL under first-year head coach Pascal Vincent, who was head coach of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets last season. The Rocket will be back in action Wednesday at Place Bell against the Bridgeport Islanders (7 p.m., RDS).
