On Monday’s Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid and Ed Balls caught up with Eurovision hopefuls Remember Monday. The girl group, set to represent the UK at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with their track What The Hell Just Happened?, discussed their plans for the competition.
Host Susanna, 54, couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming: “I say this is the winner!”
This left Remember Monday visibly surprised as they responded: “Oh, woah!” Susanna went on to say: “I think it’s massive, I think it’s absolutely massive!”
Co-host Ed, however, playfully reminded her: “Susanna, we say that every year!” She then quickly retorted: “No we don’t, sorry, no we don’t, we really don’t!”

In another segment, presenter Richard Arnold probed the group about their Eurovision act, and although Lauren Byrne from the band hinted they couldn’t reveal everything, she did mention that their musical theatre experience would influence a performance full of “drama”.
With their country music roots, Remember Monday hopes to fare better than the UK’s recent outcomes in the international contest, which will take place this May in Basel, Switzerland.
In 2024, Olly Alexander’s track Dizzy placed the UK in 18th position at the contest held in Malmo, Sweden. Meanwhile, Mae Muller’s ‘I Wrote A Song’ in 2023 secured a second-last place in Liverpool, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Remember Monday expressed: “What The Hell Just Happened? is exactly how we’re feeling right now. It’s all very surreal; our friendship goes so far back, and we definitely never imagined that we’d be doing anything like this.”

They added: “When you’re a kid and people ask you what you want to be when you grow up, an absolute classic is ‘I wanna be a pop star’, so the fact that we’re getting the chance to live that dream as three best friends is just wild.”
The band also shared their excitement about being the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, saying: “We’re going to be the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour. We’re going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won’t have seen before on the Eurovision stage.”
They concluded by saying: “We honestly can’t wait to experience this with all of the other incredible artists from around the world, and hopefully make everyone back at home feel proud. This is really the music World Cup and we’ll do our best to bring it home.”
Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV X.
