Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, was left stunned by a young act on Saturday (March 8). The 54-year-old exclaimed ‘oh my god’, before hitting her golden buzzer.

In the latest episode, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and guest judge KSI were back at the auditions, seeking a performance fit for the Royal Variety Show.

The panel met 11-year-old Oliver, who arrived at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens armed with his electric guitar. Having learned from his grandfather, he expressed his ambition to become “the best guitarist in the world”, reports the Express.

Despite admitting to being “very nervous,” Oliver stunned the audience with his remarkable guitar skills, delivering unique renditions of Van Halen’s “Jump” and Queen’s 1979 classic “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

Following his performance, the crowd erupted into applause, leading an amazed Amanda to exclaim: “Oh my god,” before hitting the golden buzzer.

“I mean, literally a star is born, I have never ever seen anything like that in my life,” Amanda gushed as golden confetti showered the stage.

Alesha chimed in, saying: “When you said you want to be the best guitar player in the world, I thought this young man is going to go far. Congratulations on a well-deserved golden buzzer.”

An astonished KSI added: “Oliver, you’re eleven and you’re already a star. I loved it, it was crazy, you were like a completely different person, especially when you were right here and looking at our eyes and playing your heart out.”

Simon’s glowing assessment of Oliver’s performance was crystal clear: “You know what, you already have a very distinct sound which normally takes people decades, you’re that good. I mean, seriously good! That was brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Good for you, go and celebrate,”.

As Oliver stepped off the stage and met with Ant and Dec, he confessed that receiving the golden buzzer was entirely unexpected. This moment was marked by a touching embrace shared with his proud grandfather.

In the wake of this electrifying audition, fans of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) rapidly flooded X (formerly Twitter) with their enthusiastic reactions. One wrote: “Simply astonishing performance by an 11 yr old boy playing electric guitar on #BGT Golden button from Amanda Holden quite rightly.”
