Amanda Holden has cautiously shared what she finds “most annoying” about working with her Britain’s Got Talent co-star Simon Cowell.

In a humorous game on Heart Radio this week, the 54-year-old’s co-star Jamie Theakston challenged her to either answer a tricky question, or eat an unusual flavoured pancake.

As part of the game, Jamie, 54, urged her to decide between eating a mustard-filled pancake or answer the question: “What is the most annoying thing about working with Simon Cowell?”.

Laughing, Amanda replied: “Oh my God, where so I start?!”.

The presenter appeared reluctant to continue with her true thoughts, as she revealed contract negotiations for the show were happening very soon.

After Jamie pointed out that she previously complained about Simon’s punctuality, she said he was still “never early”.

Amanda went on to say: “He winds me up constantly, teases me, but I’m going to taste the pancake, because I do want to do another year of Britain’s Got Talent, and it’s that time of year.”

The presenter is the longest-serving judge on the ITV show, which began in 2007.

She is thought to earn £850,000 for the gig, reportedly the same salary as her co-stars Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

Throughout the years, Amanda has shared the panel with various other faces such as; Michael McIntyre, David Hasselhoff, KSI, Piers Morgan and David Walliams.

The latter departed the show back in 2022 over alleged “disrespectful comments” he made about contestants on the show.

In November 2023, reports claimed he and show bosses had reached an “amicable resolution” after he planned to sue the programme.

The comic was a judge on the ITV show for 10 years alongside Amanda, Simon and Alesha and has since been replaced by Bruno.

Previously addressing her lengthy stint on the show, Amanda said while she never expects to return, she believes it would be too awkward for Simon to get rid of her, as she seems him most weekends.

She told The Sun: “That call to say ‘You’ve got a job’, it’s still the most amazing day for me, even 30 years into my career.

“I never know I’m coming back for BGT. We do not have long contracts, we’re contracted yearly and I’ve never expected [it].

“I see Simon most weekends in the Cotswolds, so it would be very uncomfortable for him.

“My local pub is now their local pub, so often I’ll get a table and the manager will go, ‘Oh, you know your friend Simon is coming in?’ and I’ll go, ‘Oh for God’s sake! OK, let’s just turn it into a table for ten then’.”

Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 7pm on ITV and ITVX.
