Southern Comfort has teamed up with Manchester rapper Aitch to launch a limited-edition bottle called “Northern Comfort” in a nod to the unique culture and atmosphere of the north.

To mark the launch, Aitch hid train tickets around northern cities, sparking a frenzy among fans competing for a spot on an exclusive celebration train.

Aitch said: “Sometimes we can be overlooked up here, so Northern Comfort is all about showing love to the culture – a proper celebration of the north.”

Southern Comfort’s spokesperson added: “We’ve always been about bringing people together, no matter where they’re from. With Northern Comfort, we’re celebrating the north’s undeniable energy, community spirit, and love for a good time.”

According to a survey of 2,000 adults in the UK, 64 per cent of northerners take pride in their roots, with 37 per cent believing their region is friendlier than the south. The poll also highlighted the north’s sense of community and the attitudes of its people as key sources of pride.

A whopping 74 per cent of Gen Z say their location heavily influences them, according to the recent survey. It also found that 76 per cent of them have a strong sense of pride in their hometowns.

When it comes to nightlife, this generation values a diverse drinks menu (41 per cent), late-night venues (29 per cent), and a friendly atmosphere (24 per cent).
