Kellogg’s has released a ‘new’ product that’s turning heads at Home Bargains. The brand – famed for classic breakfast cereals like Corn Flakes, Coco Pops and Frosties – has started selling instant noodles in several flavours, leaving Brits confused and tempted by the rather cheap meal option.

The discount retailer is stocking three flavours of Kellogg’s latest venture – curry chicken, special chicken, and vegetarian. Shoppers were “perplexed” to find the cereal giant’s name on such an unexpected item when they spotted it this week but have claimed that, if you can get over the brand, they’re actually quite nice.

Each pack, priced at £1.50, offers five servings and boasts a quick cooking time of mere ‘minutes’, perfect for the hob or microwave. While it may seem odd for Kellogg’s to branch into noodles, the company’s website reveals that these products have been available in other parts of the world since 2018.

The arrival of Kellogg’s noodles in the UK has sparked a mix of humour and praise on social media. One Facebook user joked: “Noodles for breakfast anyone?” while others shared their positive taste experiences, reports the Mirror.

One person commented: “I was intrigued so I bought them. My kids said they were the best noodles they had tried!” Another satisfied customer shared: “The chicken ones are so nice!” A third added: “I picked up the veggie ones today and they taste lovely. Hopefully they don’t disappear from shops!”

Kellogg’s has described its noodle range on its website, stating: “Presenting the delicious range of Kellogg’s Instant Noodles with the goodness of grains, great taste, and high energy. It is fortified with essential B vitamins, which keep you ‘active’ and ‘alert’ throughout the day.

“A convenient and easy meal to prepare, it can be consumed at any time of the day. Kellogg’s Instant Noodles can help you feel energised and leave a sensational taste on the pallet. It is available in chicken, beef, cheese, durban curry and vegetable curry. Taste the difference with Kellogg’s Instant Noodles!”

Home Bargains recently had a social media hit with its latest garden accessory. The solar-powered hot air balloon lights have been flying off the shelves and are predicted to be a hit in gardens this summer.

Although they’ve sold out quickly at Home Bargains, these trendy lights are also available at other retailers like Asda, B&M and The Range for under £5. Shoppers might be in luck, though, as a new version recently appeared on the retailer’s website.

These Firefly lights have taken on a less traditional shape, though, with heart-shaped balloons instead of rounded ones. These are priced at £6.99 and currently claim to be an online only purchase.
