Fortunately, the victim was not hit by the gunfire.

Durham regional Police say officers responded to reports of gunshots at a business in the area of Mackenzie Ave. and Bayly St. W. — east of Westney Rd. S. — around 5:20 p.m.

“Police arrived on scene and located a male who has been shot at while sitting in his tow truck,” Sgt. Joanne Bortoluss said in a statement released Wednesday, explaining the man was not injured.

Police are currently looking for three suspects.

One suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.

The second is described only as wearing a black mask and black hoodie.

No description was immediately available of the third suspect.
