DON’T DEFUND CBC
Pierre Poilievre is the latest Conservative Party leader to promote defunding the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. That would be disastrous for our country and our democracy. The political nightmare unfolding in the U.S.A. is a lesson in what happens when a media environment is dominated by the private sector. The truth should not be for sale. A vast country like Canada needs a strong and independent public broadcaster.

LIBERAL BACKPEDAL
The Liberals lectured all Canadians on their carbon tax, calling those who disagreed with them climate deniers. When Canadians disagreed with massive immigration as we don’t have housing for Canadians, we don’t want to see thousands homeless or want to see two million Canadians forced to use food banks every month, the Liberals called us racist. Guess what, all of these same Liberals after seeing the polls are now backpedalling on all of these issues to get votes. Don’t trust them for the fourth time.

CARNEY THE STRANGER
When I was young, my mother taught me not to talk to strangers. What about electing a stranger as prime minister? Mark Carney has been a stranger to Canadians, not sitting down with editorial boards of daily newspapers in Canada or doing in-depth sit-down interviews with any major Canadian TV networks. This should be disconcerting to Liberals who must choose the next prime minister on March 9. Who is this man, who is the so-called front-runner of the race? Canadians should find out if there are any skeletons in Carney’s closet. The way he seems to be avoiding in-depth media interviews, I’m not sure whether Canadians are getting Mark Carney or Joe Biden? You may want to listen to my mother and “beware of strangers!”
