Sir Rod Stewart now has a fourth grandchild after his son Liam welcomed his second child on Monday.
The hockey player, 30, and his wife Nicole already share one son, 21-month-old Louie – and shared the happy news of their second-born’s arrival on Instagram.
The couple posed with their two children to share the announcement, with a carousel of snaps showing cute photos of the baby girl and Louie meeting her.
A beaming Liam knelt by Nicole’s hospital bed as she held their daughter. Sharing the photos, Nicole penned: “Elsie Skylar Stewart. Our sweet little pea born 03/02/25.”
Elsie’s name is a nod to rocker Stewart’s mother, who died in 1996 at 91 years of age.
Liam’s mother Rachel, who was married to Maggie May hit-maker Stewart from 1990 to 2006, took to the comments to express her excitement, writing: “I can’t wait to meet you. Bursting with love.”
Stewart’s current wife, former model Penny Lancaster, also shared a sweet comment as the 53-year-old penned: “So adorable, can’t wait to meet Louie’s little sister Elsie.”
Stewart, 80, has three other grandchildren, including 13-year-old Delilah, the child of his daughter Kimberly and her ex, Benicio Del Toro; 21-month-old Otis, who was born to his daughter Ruby and her partner Jack Kalick and Elsie’s older brother, Louie.

Many other family members also took to the comments section to welcome the newborn and congratulate the parents, wit Stewart’s first wife Alana Hamilton Stewart, the mother of his children Kimberly, Ashley and Sean, writing: “Congratulations!! She’s beautiful!”
Stewart’s daughter Ruby, 37, whom the singer shares with Kelly Emberg, shared: “Welcome to the Stewart family Little Elsie!”
Stewart has recently made clear his plans to continue performing despite fan fears about his potential retirement.
Speaking last year, the iconic singer remarked: “I don’t see any possibility of slowing down anytime soon.”
He continued: “And as I get older, I only really want to do things that give me great pleasure.”
Lancaster backed up his claims at the time, commenting: “He loves what he does so much and will never retire.”
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she went on to reveal her husband’s relentless energy expands outside of his career as she admitted she “struggles” to keep up with his fitness regime.
She added: “He’s a workaholic and constantly on the move. I struggle to keep up with his training schedule. He works out three or four times a week, even on tour.”
Stewart and Lancaster share a large blended family, with the couple sharing two sons themselves, Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 14.
“We like to take every opportunity to bring the family, children, and grandchildren together,” Loose Women host Lancaster shared.
“Part of the family lives in America, part in England, so it requires a lot of planning, but at least two or three times a year, the whole clan comes together.”
She went on to admit the dynamics f having such a big family can be a struggle, continuing: “There are the usual family ups and downs.
“You have to use a lot of diplomacy, be patient and understanding. In the end, it’s worth it because you experience this wonderful bond that only a family can have.”

More recently, Lancaster shared a candid admission about her husband as she detailed the challenges she faced when joining the rock star’s family.
During an episode of ITV’s Loose Women, Lancaster was asked if there was a peacemaker in her family where she immediately identified herself in that role.
“I would probably point the fingers at myself,” Lancaster admitted, explaining that meeting Rod meant embracing his entire family.
She described how she carefully “tiptoed in” to the relationship, reassuring everyone that “it’ll be alright in the end.”
Adams acknowledged the likely scepticism from Stewart’s children, noting they “probably thought you were not going to be around forever.”
Lancaster agreed: “Exactly, they thought ‘this is the next girlfriend, what does she want’ so it was understandable.”
