The shaded trail through Teign Gorge in Dartmoor National Park offers walkers a scenic journey, incorporating the Hunter’s Path from Hunter’s Tor in the west to Fisherman’s Path. The walk culminates with the impressive sight of Castle Drogo, a 20th-century fortress designed by renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, built between 1911 and 1930 and often cited as England’s last castle.

Despite its medieval look, it features modern materials like reinforced concrete. Now under the care of the National Trust, Castle Drogo has recently been restored after issues with water penetration. Open for public enjoyment, it provides stunning views over Teign Gorge, complete with beautiful gardens and walking trails.
