If you’re looking for the perfect getaway this Spring, Bristol Airport has some amazing options for tourists, but one city in particular stands out as an unbeatable destination.

According to TripAdvisor, Basel contains the country’s highest concentration of museums, perfect for those looking for a bit culture and exploration on their trip. The city also offers a wide range of green spaces to enjoy during the springtime including the popular zoological gardens in the city centre.
The Old Town is another highlight that visitors enjoy walking around, described by previous tourists as “picturesque and colourful,” it’s the perfect location for a stroll in the sun. Whilst there you can also take a ferry across the Rhine, allowing you to explore the river in a new and unique way.

The garden is free to enter is open daily, including on weekends and public holidays.
Other popular attractions include Basel Minster and Basler Papiermühle. Basel Minster is possibly the most famous landmark in the city. A description reads: “built between the years 1019 and 1500 in the Romantic and Gothic styles. The crypt, the chancel, the tomb of Erasmus of Rotterdam, the Gallus gate and the two cloisters are witness to a fascinating tale of construction over a period of several centuries.”

Basler Papiermühle, is the national museum for paper, typography and writing. Where visitors can learn about the bookmaking process, from handmade paper to the finished book. There are also workshops for visitors to take part in, which are popular for both adults and children.
