A man was rushed to hospital after being assaulted in Bristol last night (Saturday, March 1). Avon and Somerset Police were called to Filwood Road at around 10.20pm.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with injuries but has since been discharged. A police cordon was put in place as an investigation was launched.
The force are now appealing to the public for information on the assault. They are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “At 10.23pm yesterday (1 March) we were called by the ambulance service reporting a man had been assaulted in Filwood Road in the Hillfields area of Bristol. Officers attended alongside the ambulance service who took a man aged in his 40s to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
“As part of the investigation, a cordon is in place in Filwood Road to allow officers to conduct initial enquiries. If you witnessed the incident or have any footage that might help our investigation, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5225053874.”
