A man was taken to hospital after being attacked in south Belfast.
The victim suffered injuries to his head and body.
Police said it happened late on Friday night.
Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: “Shortly after 10pm we received a report that a man had been assaulted in the Dublin Road area.
“Officers along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended and a man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries to his head and body.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1785 28/02/25.”
