Dr Rangan Chatterjee, a doctor who has featured on numerous shows across BBC, ITV and Channel 4, has shared a simple eight-word tip for anyone who would like to feel happier. Known for his role in the BBC’s Doctor in the House and as a regular guest on This Morning, Dr Chatterjee also frequently shares health advice with his millions of social media followers.

He also hosts a popular podcast and has published a number of books. In a new Instagram update on Friday evening, the doctor shared a “reminder as we head into the weekend”.

He continued: “Want a simple tip to feel happier? Let go of your need to be right.” The sentiment echoes that of a previous social media post, in which he wrote: “You let go of your reliance on being right and immediately the world becomes a kinder, friendlier and calmer place.”

The advice has clearly gone down well with fans, many of whom have flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts. One wrote: “Brilliant! So much of our ego is caught up in this – but life is rarely binary”.

A second said: “This is so true. This is really something to consider and will help you to keep your peace, which is worth everything.” And a third added: “Yes, it took me years to realise that the need to be right is often rooted in the fear of judgment, losing control or rejection.”
