King Charles and Queen Camilla have sent a message to Princess Anne’s husband after his health scare earlier this year.
Timothy Laurence, who married the Princess Royal in 1992, is celebrating his 70th birthday today.
The Royal Family’s official social media account wrote: “Wishing a Happy 70th Birthday to Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence!”
Timothy Laurence did not accompany Princess Anne to South Africa on a royal tour earlier this year because he suffered a suspected torn ligament.

The injury was understood to have taken place on the Princess Royal’s estate, Gatcombe Park.
Timothy, 70, needed to stay in the UK for medical treatment.
As a result, Princess Anne was forced to carry out the royal tour alone.
The Princess Royal is known to be the hardest-working royal, having carried out a total of 474 engagements in 2024.

The mother of two carried out 395 engagements in the UK and 79 abroad, resulting in 17 more engagements in 2024 than the year prior.
Princess Anne suffered a health scare of her own in 2024.
In June, the 74-year-old suffered a blow to the head from a horse on her Gatcombe Park estate.
In an interview during her trip to South Africa, Princess Anne admitted that she does not recall anything from the incident.

When asked whether she walked into the field where she was found, Anne said: “No, don’t even remember that.
“I know where I thought I was going, and that was to go to the chickens, nothing to do with horses.”
She added that seeing the chickens was “my regular visit, I don’t have any idea what I was doing in the field, because I never normally went that way.”
