Prince Harry has avoided a major legal battle in the US due to his connection to the Royal Family, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex’s US visa records have been the subject of a legal action between The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, and the Department of Homeland Security in Washington DC.
The action centres on Harry’s admissions in his memoir ‘Spare’ about taking cocaine as a teenager and experimenting with cannabis and mushrooms.
A judge recently ruled that three of the visa documents would be made public while a fourth will remain sealed.

However, earlier this month Donald Trump vowed he would not deport Prince Harry regardless of what the documents revealed.
President Trump said regarding potentially deporting Prince Harry: “I don’t want to do that, I’ll leave him alone.”
The US President took aim at Harry’s wife Meghan Markle in his remarks, stating: “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams highlighted Donald Trump’s fondness of the monarchy as a reason he has opted not to pursue a battle over the visa data.
Fitzwilliams told GB News: “Donald Trump does not want a battle with a member of the Royal Family.
“It would be appealed through the courts and it would have a huge amount of publicity.
“He values his trips in 2018 and 2019. He values his links with the Royal Family.

“Harry is still fifth in line to the throne and is still a member of the Royal Family, that is why Trump does not want that [battle].”
The US President will become the first elected political leader in modern times to be hosted for two State Visits by a British monarch.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer delivered the invitation in the form of a letter from King Charles during a White House press conference.
Trump previously enjoyed a three-day State Visit with Queen Elizabeth in June 2019 during his first term.
