An event hosted by the Allied Health Professionals at Stormont showcased innovative solutions to some of the problems facing the health service.
One of these solutions is Fujifilm Healthcare’s car, which brings vital services like X-Rays and blood tests to patients in need, effectively bringing the hospital to them.
Connected to 5G, the car transmits test results to the local hospital so that healthcare professionals can evaluate them.
When trialled recently in Cornwall, 88% of patients did not have to go to A&E following the car’s results, saving them lengthy hospital waits and ultimately saving the National Health Service’s resources.
