Police were forced to remove a disruptive passenger from a Ryanair flight this week after she became “unruly” on board.

The incident occurred on a Cork to Tenerife flight on Tuesday, February 25 – on which the woman was reportedly arguing with other passengers.

Cabin crew repeatedly asked her to sit down and be quiet, but she appeared to refuse to comply with their instructions.

The situation escalated to the point where police intervention was deemed necessary upon landing at Tenerife Airport.

An eyewitness reported that the disruption began approximately an hour before landing.

“We didn’t really notice anything until an hour before we landed when there was some shouting and then it appeared that a female was arguing with other passengers on board,” the passenger told the Irish Independent.

When the plane landed, the woman continued to be disruptive.

The Guardia Civil (Civil Police) arrived at the aircraft as passengers were disembarking.

MORE TRAVEL CHAOS:

Witnesses observed the woman continuing to shout and argue even after leaving the plane – and was later removed from the scene by the local police.

Ryanair confirmed that the passenger was escorted away by police after landing.

The airline said the matter is now being handled by local authorities.
